An exiled agent. A growing threat. A clandestine war.
The world is changing beyond recognition. Radical extremists are rising and seek to enforce their ideology globally.
Governments, the military and intelligence agencies are being outmanoeuvred at every step. Borders are breaking down. Those in power are puppets.
The old rules are obsolete. To fight this war a new doctrine is needed. In a world where nothing is as it seems, where trust is gone, one man will make the difference.
Meet Ex-MI6 agent and man in exile, Scott Pearce. It’s time to burn the espionage rule book. Watch Pearce light the fire.
This is an action packed read introducing Scott Pearce, modern, upto date spy thriller. Right from the Prologue until the end this book is fast paced and intense. If you are into intrigue and spy thrillers then this a book you have to get and read.
Scott’s 2 year undercover alias as a climbing guide is blown, running for his life, not for the first time I am sure, and it’s certainly not the last time, he has to listen to what she has to tell him. He already knew he wanted to get the people who killed his former MI6 agent friend.
The killing of Nathan Foster by a couple of thugs was a little bit gruesome, but he had probably done and seen worse having been trained as an MI6 agent.
The action in this book is brilliant, it just keeps you so engaged in the story, once part two hits that’s it no chance of putting the book down until you finish it. Of course we know that Pearse is like action man he is not going to die, or there would be no series. We know this is just the beginning!
There are some great characters, which work well they are relatable as you learn more about them, about what makes them them. What drives them to do what they do. The plot line is credible, the length some would go to to manipulate things to look the way they want them to look. This is hopefully a series that will just keep going and getting better and better if that’s possible.
A definite must read for fans of this genre. I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this or not, but it just grabbed me, and I had to read it in one go.
I very highly recommend this read.
I give it a very good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ looking forward to book 2.
