What would you do if your husband framed you for murder?

Five years ago, Olivia Sutherland was convicted of plotting to murder her husband.

Now she’s finally free, Olivia has three goals. Repair her relationship with her daughter. Clear her name. And bring down her husband – the man who framed her.

Just how far is she willing to go to get what she wants? And how far will her husband go to stop her?

Because his lies run deeper than Olivia could ever have imagined – and this time it’s not her freedom that’s in jeopardy, but her life…

What an absolutely brilliant read, this is C.L.Taylor’s best book yet. I’m never sure when I finish one book then pick up another straight away whether I am going to get straight into the story or not. But with this one I certainly didn’t have to worry it had me hooked from page one.

How would you feel if your husband with a little help framed you for attempting to kill him? Olivia is sentenced to five years, for plotting to kill her husband Dominic, which is five years she doesn’t get to see her daughter Grace. But when she gets out of prison she wants to mend her relationship with her daughter, who has believed her father, after all a jury found Olivia guilty so it’s understandable that a child might agree. But when she is released Olivia wants to prove her innocence, wants her daughter back.

Gradually some twists begin, pulling you in deeper, which will have you wondering what is going on, because the chapters are short you find yourself thinking just one more. Before you know it it’s the middle of the night. Olivia had been having an affair with Jack before she went to jail, but that was all she was guilty of. The marriage was over and Dominic hadn’t been faithful either. Olivia had told her Dominic she was going to leave him. That meant she would take Grace or they would have to share her. This is one of the main reasons Dominic claims she was planning to kill him. He didn’t want to give up his daughter. There is one certain thing in this book and that is that both parents loved Grace.

If you are a parent your child is your world. Family is a big part of this story, Olivia has no real family except for Grace, her family are her friends. But each of them have some sort of guilt whether that be not visiting Olivia when she was in prison, when she got out they were there, although it’s hard to wonder who you can trust. Dani the the bent detective, has her reasons for doing what she does and that revolves around trying to save her drug addicted sister, to pay for her to go to rehab, for me that showed a softer side of Dani other than that I wasn’t keen on her at all. Olivia has promised to help inmate Smithy when she comes out of prison, there relationship was really interesting, how far could Smithy be trusted?

This is a fast paced, addictive, adrenaline fuelled read, that will keep you engaged throughout. There is always something going on, at times my heart was pounding, I was holding my breath. With a lot of twists and turns throughout. Will Olivia prove her innocence? will she get her daughter back?

For all psychological thriller fans this is a must read, a highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read.
